A. G. part 2

Countdown to 40.....my list. cont.
2. to become creative...in my photographs, in decorating the home, even in cooking. I want to focus more on getting to know that side of myself. I'd also love to be one of those people who gets up in the morning and does yoga.
3. to give. The first 40 were mostly take and a lot of indifference. It was all about me. I want to give back. I want to truly have compassion for others. I believe that some form of volunteering is going to come up that needs me.
It took me a long time, and the help of The purpose Driven Life, to know that I am the way I am for a reason. I used to worry that I could never be as sweet and kind hearted as someone like Amy. Now I realize I have my own fit too. So I want to find a way to help that needs someone like me.
4. to be the best wife, friend, Aunt, sister, daughter possible. I would love to have some positive influence on each one of the kids. I want them to enjoy staying with me. Who knows what they each may become as adults. Some good thing you teach them could one day spread to others.
5. to increase my faith. To not be afraid of the future. To trust the Lord completely. To overlook all the problems and issues Christians tend to get wrapped up in. To instead focus on the 2 main commandments we were given..."Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart." "And love thy brother more than thine self." I think if I stick to working really hard on those all the rest falls into place.
-sorry for the long post!

I THINK YOUR LIST IS WONDERFUL AND INSPIRING. I HAVE WATCHED YOU GROW AND DEVELOP SO MUCH IN THE LAST FEW YEARS...IN SUCH A POSITIVE WAY. I THINK YOUR GRACE, CHARM AND HUMOR WILL CONTINUE TO FLOW AS YOU ENJOY THIS TIME OF YOUR LIFE. YOUR HAPPINESS BRINGS OUT YOUR BEAUTY AND YOU ARE GREAT AT SHARING YOUR NATURAL GIFTS. THANKS! (I ENJOYED GAME NIGHT TOO!)

B really liked doing a day a week at Habitat for Humanity. We both did the Master Gardner stuff in California. There are lots of opportunities, to fit almost anything.
Glad you're not going for P.S. Too many women here look plastic, stretched skin is not very attractive.

I'm always moved by anyone who wants to be a better person. Your goals are worthy ones. Too often people get caught up in worshiping the messenger and forget the message.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I was thinking about posting a cake but then had fun putting the bow on my computer and posing it. I have written about my history and progress with public speaking phobia. Maybe I will recap some of them in the near future, especially now at the year mark when I'm overviewing it all.
