If a dog jumps in your lap, it is because he is fond of you; but if a cat does the same thing, it is because your lap is warmer.

The pets are feeling a bit left out....with home tours, music fests, children playing, river sports...they haven't been the center of attention for a while so today they are once again the "featured" photo guests.
My animals, though they can't really know their picture is being made, seem to enjoy the camera. Or they are used to it being around. They seem to sense it is some sort of special attention or honor to have it pointed at them so they oblige and often pose.
My non-organic tomatoes:
I was disappointed and shocked to find that my tomatoes, according to my husband, Toonces, the know-it-all, are not organic. Priding myself in being all natural....never using pesticides on flowers or veggies....the special care I'd taken, all in vain because of a few doses of Miracle Grow. Who would have thought?
me: "I only used it twice."
T: "It is a chemical fertilizer."
me: "But, but I only used it twice in a small dose. It's just little crystals you put in water from a box!:
T: "Baby, it is a chemical fertilizer."
me: "So I'm not organic?"
T: "And you're the one concerned with the USDA reducing the guidelines for Walmart....mmmm mmmm mmmm."
me: "Well crap."
Hey, they are still great. Big and Tasty...I had a summer tomato sandwich just this afternoon. One of the best things in the world. Oh, but Toonces doesn't like those (loves tomatoes, but not a sandwich of them)...he's just weird. But that is another post for another day.
