New Cribs for the Clark Pets
It can't be done.
It probably can be done, but it's not worth doing.
I knew it was a good idea all along !
I know I have said it fifty times already but truly the leaves were as spectacular this season as I ever remember them. What an awesome autumn it has been.
Cold weather moving in meant making a decision on Earl and Eudora's dog houses...quickly. After arguing and being "zipped" by Toonces over a $600 white cedar shake home they both would share. "Call Wilma Dale and Gary [my parents] and see if they think it is reasonable to pay $600 for a dog house," he'd say. It matched the house. Nonetheless we sat down, put our heads together and yesterday we finished assembling the Thugs new cribs, or cabins I should say!
Calista busted.
Toonces can be so sweet. Dale is a bit lost without Lilly and she is too old to climb into the barn haylofts so she started sleeping with Eudora. Toonces, worried Eudora would get up during the night and leave Dale cold, bought her that little tiny yellow home. She loves it. She spent 15 minutes the first day picking the cotton bottom to get it just right. Luckily everyone seems to know it belongs to Dale and so it hasn't been dragged out and shredded in the yard. (knock on wood).
The best thing about the cold weather starting in is that my Thugs want to come in and visit with me in the evenings instead of traipsing all over the place exploring. Summer nights they were wild!!!
Now they want to snuggle, sleep in here, or lie in the floor and watch what we are doing and that makes me happy......
Who could refuse this face?
The banner for late autumn was Toonces's choice. Miss Ruby is the star pet this go around!

What a face! Love their new digs. Our dog being a chow originally from Siberia loves the cold.
I forgot to say that the joke below was a riot!

I so love reading about your pets. They are a very fortunate bunch to have both you and T. The photo of Earl is amazing! What a handsome fellow.

What a great picture of the dog, I have to say I didn't realise that dog kennels existed any more though. Here in the UK they are unheard of.
Here from Michele's.

Michele sent me!
I love that Halloween slide show thingy you have a few posts ago, Deana. It's a great effect.
I've only had indoor dogs so I've never had to buy an outdoor kennel. I'd have a lot of trouble justifying $600 but then again, I need to buy a storage shed soon and they're not easy to find for under $800 or so. I guess everything is expensive!
The leaves on your side of the state look a lot better than they do over here to the East. I need to spend a weekend in the mountains before winter hits.

$600 dog house? Even at $300 apiece, it's a little much. Think of all the stuff you could get for yourself with that!

I didn't even notice the banner was different. Those are some cool dog cabins. We'd have to put heaters in ours even the dogs would freeze, unless they were husky's. Have a fantastic weekend.

I like the new banner and fall colors. Earl & Eudora have got themselves nice little cabins! And I like the little "cat house" for Dale too.
P. S. I'm ready for a Scene It rematch!!!!

New banner image is pretty. It loads faster too doesn't it? Or is that my imagination?
I could understand how hard it would be to refuse those eyes. :)
We got our cat a lovely cat bed but she seems to prefer to sleep on whatever page I try to write on.

Glad you're fall has been spectacular...oddly, ours has been pretty mediocre from a "colors" standpoint. I don't know why?

Is Earl's coat wet or his he really that sleek? Fennie used to snuggle with the kitties. We lost the big cuddler two years ago. When Fen came back from surgery Spencer (who passed in Feb) would snuggle and take of him. I guess they both knew how short their time was and time together would be. I love watching animals hang. The wonder twins are fun to watch. Probably like Earl and Eudora. Can you imagine the four of them together...put away anything that could break! :)

I like the new banner. I should stop by one day. I'm driving past your place about three times a week now.

I absolutely love the fall leaves picture! You are very talented with Photoshop; very artistic.
Looks like the pups have lovely homes. If I were a dog, I'd want a cabin like that, perhaps with some flower boxes and a welcome mat! :-)

I could never refuse that face !!!!
I like the cabins. How do they like them? I still need to buy Roxy a house, I just can't make up my mind.

I LOVE the banner, gorgeous photo, Deana! Now I have a question becuase I'm a little bit lost and I'm kind of a new reader here. Who are Calista and Dale? I remember your beautiful post about Lily, and I know Earl and Eudora. Just lost about the other two. Love the leaves photo, too. gorgeous!
