All In The Day Of A Dog
"I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive." - Gilda Radner
"They [dogs] never talk about themselves but listen to you while you talk about yourself, and keep up an appearance of being interested in the conversation." - Jerome K. Jerome
We have it good. I know it. The dogs know it. Heck the cats know it.
Toonces has been gone so we've made sure to take afternoon breaks and roam the property. When we are out together on a beautiful afternoon like yesterday, everything green and happy you can't help but be optimistic and upbeat.
We have had terrible winds and lightening but the rain and sun mix have been optimum for our grass, flowers and trees. Everything is so GREEN.
Eudora by the fence helping me in my flowers and Earl on the pond dam.
Tonight I am having dinner (Chinese) with my nephews Ben and Jackson after an afternoon of candy shopping on Main Street Mount Airy.
Tomorrow I am off for the beach BRIGHT AND EARLY! I am excited. I need some time to play and not think about my schedule and how I am going to get this done by this date and this to this person.....blah blah. I want some mind free time. Caleb, Izzy and Seth are on their way now and we will meet up with them by lunch tomorrow.
Looking forward to soft tees, shorts, flip flops and waves crashing!
And I miss my baby....Toonces I wish you were here. We all miss you...even Earl.
Speaking of my sweet T...the reviews coming in for his new book The Legal Limit have been just outstanding. I am so proud of him. He will probably fuss when he gets home but I linked his info on my sidebar.
So I am off, I will do a shout out from the beach on Friday so Toonces can see what we're up to.
Are they not adorable? Little tails sticking up darting around.

Don't know which are more fun, cats or dogs. Or both. Maybe you can get a parrot to add to the group?

Love the iris'.
They are gorgeous colors.
Enjoy the beach for me, too. It'll be awhile before I can get there this year.

Thanks for letting me know about Tuesday night cat nights. Oh and I love your photography. The little waggers do look too cute waving above the wheat. Dogs do act interested in what we say. What would they say if they could only talk. hmmmm. I hope that my dawgies never learn to talk. I would be in lotsa trouble.
Have a great weekend all!

I want your life (your fairytale!). Actually, could I just borrow your place for the day? Lovely photos!

The pictures are just wonderful Deana.....The Pond looks FABULOUS! I mean, it is truly glorious. It must be so thrilling to see how it turned out--especially now that it is filled up---From a "dream" to the reality! Perfect. What a great property Deana....lovely things wherever you look...Those Tail's ARE adorable....!

I'm paging right through Toonce's Mobil Home book and I find myself laughing out loud often. Fastest read I've had in ages and I love it.
Even fairy tales come with lots of work but also lots of satisfaction. I don't have the fairy tale but I do have the satisfaction and that's good enough for me. I do however wish I had the blooming flowers and warm weather. Blow some of that up here, will ya?

I wanted to tell you I pre-ordered Toonces book from Amazon, and I'm very glad you had the link so I could do that, my dear. Tell Toonces it's a GOOD Thing! (lol)
Hope you had a great time at the Beach!

Beautiful scenes of your property.
Bravo to Martin on those very important reviews. The book sounds terrific (just paid Amazon a visit) and I'm going to add it to my "must read" list and then get it as soon as my current stack dwindles a little.
Have a great time at the beach! Lots of sun, fun and laughter to you.

Gilda was so right. I live near a Puppy store and go in for love therapy with the smaller pups. I'd love to take one home, but still don't feel comfortable confining a puppy to the non-carpeted square footage I have.

I love reading about your life. :) It's getting cold here and I stayed in for most of the weekend, when I wasn't downstairs helping Alessandro put the bolts back on his car where he has been trying to put his suspension back together. If only he hadn't taken it apart in the first place!
And I am making 3 new blurb.com books at once. Photography type books. Using my digital scrapbooking pictures. In other words, I am making photo albums. And I'm rereading my Hamish Macbeth collection. I have all of them. :)
I hear swearing from downstairs - the suspension must have bit back! I just went out to look and the smell of smoke is so strong from the woodfires in neighbours' houses. And hells bells - it is so cold!

Crikey - that was me - I forgot to say who I am!!
