When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.
Halloween is beginning to be like Christmas at our parents' house. I cooked dinner. Mom baked a cake. Caleb decorated. Jackson helped us give out candy. By the end the whole clan was giving candy AND jumping out of trees scaring the trick or treaters. After the goblins were gone we bobbed for apples and the kids played Texas Hold 'Em for a little cash.
I was a Tigress who left her paws at home. Toonces wore his regular clothes and would say he is Euphrates...haha.
Since our county celebrated last night today I've gotten to enjoy long walks, naps and working on photos...all ready to put away my spooks.
I love Halloween.
I have planned for November to be a very disciplined month. I was hoping it would be a spiritual renewal and healthy experience. A month of meditation, yoga...quiet. I plan to journal this entire month. I plan to do lots of reading. I have to clean the flower beds and plant my bulbs. Of course where this extra time will come from is where most of the discipline will come from. Ignoring Facebook! Moderation-moderation-moderation!
Then I found out I also have all my doctor visits this month. Yuck. I go for my blood work in the morning. It is such a bummer to get the call on Friday reminding you of that for the next Monday. I was totally deflated. My month is going to start off harder than I thought.
And...I am going to Paris in the Spring. For my birthday! I am so excited but I have to get my plans laid out. Again, discipline. Making to do lists and getting things done.
So let's hope this next 30 days really will be personal and spiritual growth because I can stick to a plan...I think I can, I think I can!
And here are some shots from last night...that is Caleb above.
