“Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”
Izzy working the camera for my birthday party with my family Sunday.
As birthdays go this was one of the best. Spa time and dinner with friends. It was perfect.
Coming off that we had a snow. COULD NOT believe it. Well I guess I could but it stunk coming off a week of eighty degree days. My flowers survived.
It made for a nice big mud hole at the kitchen door where they had dug out for the patio. Darius seems especially thrilled to walk through it and walk right through the house leaving little red feet to be mopped up. I think he does it on purpose. I've been refusing to let them in that way. Tired of mopping every few minutes. They can come around to the front. But showing their disapproval means big mud streaks on the back doors where they've tried to paw their way in. I will be so glad when EVERYTHING is done here.
Do you know how weird it is to be having your coffee or doing dishes and you're looking out your back window while they are looking back at you? I am ready for my privacy back!
With the nasty weather I've been working on my recipe for the Cupcake War we are having here on Easter. With my parents as the judges. I love the show and even though I stink at baking I am getting better. This was my Neapolitan cupcake. Very cute. Best strawberry icing ever!
If I had used cake flour instead of all purpose like the recipe CALLED for they wouldn't need forklifts to eat them...but they are still good. And I will be more careful next time so they are perfect!
BEWARE fellow Cupcake battlers!
I have never used an icing piper thingy (imagine that) and so most of my cupcakes have big pink dog turds on them!
Baking is just a complicated sport!
I'm learning :)
Ending with my boy D-man being sweet. He is all up on Toonces lately.
