Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look once in awhile, you could miss it.”—From "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
Life on the farm. Chicks hatching in the cold of winter. Usually unheard of for us but the 70 degree heat wave helped them along. Their mom is the best mother hen ever. She goes to the door of the tack room when she is done for the day. Or when they've just gotten on her last nerve. So far all ten are peeping away.
Waiting on Santa like the rest of us!
The mama has all those babies scratching in the hay under ole Freck.
Sweet Dora do. Ready to get to work.
chasing this little guy back around to mom.
Oh....it is sweet to see these little Chicks---To see all the different Animals, as you and yours wait for Christmas....! It is almost here, my dear Deana. It sure seemed to sneak up on us this year, didn't it?
Wishing you and Toonces a LOVELY LOVELY CHRISTMAS and A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR, Too!

Hi Deanna!
Long time no comment. I still drop by from time to time but this morning when I saw your photos of the chicks I was reminded of my favorite chicken’s post from your blog. I tried to find the old post just to reminisce a bit but couldn’t. They were your special chickens at the time and I think you had named them the "Floozy Sisters" or the "Foo Foo Sisters". I still have a copy of the picture you took of them. They were such handsome critters if one may be so bold as to refer to the female species as handsome.
Anywho – just wanted to say howdy!

Deana, I received your card. What a beautiful picture and lovely thought. Thank you. I'm sorry there is none in return. I did not forget I simply didn't manage to get card giving in. My wishes for a happy holiday time and a beautiful year of wonder, light, laughter and love are no less with you! Merry Christmas
