Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday Seth (middle) and two friends came by on their way home from pre-school to rid my home of a mischievous leprechaun.  They confronted messes to find prizes left behind by the little lep.   He had escaped out the back bathroom leaving toilet paper flying from the window but we had a great time chasing him down.

On Tuesday during a rainy afternoon I made shamrock cookies so it has been a green week around here.

I love St. Patrick's Day.  I love green.  It is Spring, it is life, it is hope!

I was doing some macro shots of my cala lily when I caught this moment of Toonces going in to give old Dale a kiss.  I WISH I could've had time to adjust the aperture to have put Dale in focus but I still think it is very sweet.

I have used that quote before but I wanted to remind myself of just that.

 

We had Seth for a sleepover Thursday night.  My sister had to go to a Jr. Beta convention with Caleb and Seth, never having spent a night away from her, chose me for his first sleepover visit.  Plus it was easier for me to take him to his pre-school and pick him up Friday.  Or he might have chosen Ben.

Having some art time with him inspired me to get the camera out.

 

The last is a bubble bath shot.

He played in the tub for an hour with his tub toys and me re-heating the water and rejuvenating the bubbles.  He said he needed it to get the paints and dough-nut off him.  He was a little freaked by his "old" fingers and toes.  They really were as shriveled as I have seen.  I just told Seth, who is four, that they needed to breath some air and sure enough about 10 minutes later he told me he wasn't an old boy anymore.

Today after waking and feeling really bad from sinus problems, stomach problems...Toonces with a sore back from carrying off the downed trees he cut up...we had to cancel a fun invitation for the night and stayed in putting books on the new bookshelves I had built in the guest room yesterday.  Hanging some of my favorite pictures and making it to one of Caleb's AAU tournament games that we, Patrick County, are hosting this weekend.

I wonder if I am the only person that wanted a picture of their kid in front of those awesome kitty eyes.  COUGAR eyes.  I was a cougar you know.  But that print on the wall wasn't there then.  Only caveman drawings.
