Happy Birthday to my dad!

This weekend I made some newborn pics of baby Bronx and we celebrated my dad's birthday.

Oh and we had a date night.  Dinner and "Captain America", which I really liked.

I would like to go one year without chiggers, hay mites, whatever it is that eats me alive every August - September.  I actually used bug spray for a walk with the dogs yesterday but woke up with my bootie and thighs burning in the middle of the night.  Actually more like on fire.   I am avoiding all meadows from now on!

It is a crisp sunny BEAUTIFUL morning here in Southern Virginia.  The cooler, or not so burning up hot temps, had Earl and Eudora bouncing all over the yard this morning.  They went swimming...played tag.  They hate the 90 degree days.  Then they are dogs who lounge...in the air conditioning.  So this morning has been a nice break for them.

This coming weekend my bff Shishy and I (or Tate or Sharon...whatever you want to call her) are going to the Journey, Foreigner, Night Ranger concert in NC.  Toonces has made me promise NOT to go up with any mobile phone shots from the show.  I guess he thinks we're gonna get a little crazy.  :)

And there he is.  Bronx Davidson Beasley.  Fresh out into the world on August 4th.  With his brother Caleb, sister Isabelle, dad, grandma and Aunt Dee all in the room waiting for him.  You never forget those days.

I am sure the kids will not ever forget their baby brother coming into the world.

 

 

Mom, Caleb, Izzy and I waited out the twelve hours of labor.  Popping up with the telephone at 3am and scooting off to Winston-Salem.  Seth was smarter and held up with Papa until after the baby came.  When he heard the cry over the telephone he hopped in the car to see his baby brother.

Hard to believe that Seth is now a big brother.

 

Hopefully tomorrow we will do his newborn photos.  I am very excited.  They need to be under 2 weeks old for true newborn shots so I hope it works out.   He's a beautiful baby and I can't wait to bend him into those cute little baby poses.

It seems like such a big whirl, the last week.  I've been back to school shopping...sleepovers, a ride to Tweetsie Railroad.  But it was all wonderful.  I'd do it all again.  Now the kiddos are back in school and life will go back to the Toonces and Rollie pace.   Actually I will be putting in more time hopefully at My Friend's Closet and during the next few months I am taking on some clients for portraits.   A good chance to be creative, work, and make money for Toonces's Christmas present!  I can't make it more than a hobby so I can only pick a few.  But I've been lucky and had August and October spots filled already.
