This little thing has been seen everywhere:
Thank you to Melody and Shopgirl for thinking of me. I don't see myself as a thinking blogger at all.....I like being the place you would in real life come and sit down and have coffee and chat and watch the birds with......and gossip....and on the real good days we will sit out back with a cold beer or glass of wine and really talk trash. My blog is a journal but I think sometimes I set it up more for family and friends and not the blog buddies I've made. So today....since I cannot possibly name 5 blogs that make me think. Like Naomi said at Sonia's, "I just don't do awards like that" I won't.
I don't visit blogs to think. My husband is an intellectual and judge. I hear more than I want to think about as it is. I visit the people on the side bar because they have or are becoming real friends to me. I like them or connect to them in some way. I want to see their part of the world through their eyes. I see things through new religions and cultures and it has been very eye opening for me.
So while many make me think about things differently I don't just visit to think.
That said I'd like to recognize my blog friends today. Today is about you. I cannot do all the links....I have a dental appointment shortly but please visit these guys and you'll grow to love them too.
Drum roll please.....
That said about not thinking one of the hardest blogs for me but I adore her insight is Pearl. She has such a way of putting a spin on things and I've told her sometimes she is way over my head. But you gotta love her, her quotes, her glad game, her poetry and her pictures.
Utenzi is another one who is very smart. He is also a great photographer and a bit of a cynic. Which I love in others. I like smartasses....some of my best friends are so cynical it delights me (That would be you Ed).....
My oldest and dearest blog friend Joe is such a smart a** that I often want to slap him when I read his comments. But he always makes me laugh....and my friends that read my comments. They all love Joe. I can't wait to meet him. I know one day I will. He has become a real buddy to me. His blog will show you around Vegas but more than that Joe is very intelligent and he is spot on when it comes to the war in Iraq and other political issues.
Then there are those that have seen through that sugary coating to the rowdy side of me like my other best blog friend Jade. Here is a girl I could go out to a music gig with and she would be like "My God how many times are you going to reapply that lip gloss? You really are a prissy b****." And I would still like her afterward....and she knows this. We have all these odd parallel things going on and I know she would enjoy all my real life friends too. Plus Jade has shown me so many new things about Mother Earth and celebrations......I value her opinion on things.
Then there are those that have had the hard knocks but have lived to tell about it and are just really vivacious folks....Stepherz, Terri-Lynn, Jade again....these girls have lived it and they are tough and confident. I would love for Stepherz to come be my gym partner....and these ladies are GREAT moms. I really respect them for that.
I have many great moms that I visit to see how the little ones are doing. Melody....who lives in one of the most beautiful places on earth has the sweetest little girl and I love visiting their sweet family.
Kathy C....my horse buddy. I love her site and her pictures and stories about the horses. She is in a league way above me horse wise but I learn things from her. Plus she is so artistic and has great kids too.
My Bohemian buddy in Asheville, that is a bit private so no names, I love her site when she posts. I hope to visit her one day and her new little shop. This lady is a class act and she is so talented. I love her work. I like her opinions and we seem to like a lot of the same things.
Jenn, I love Jenn, again a great mom and mother of a gorgeous basset hound. I like her spin on things....I take her entertainment advice...I enjoy her pictures.
Chatty.....one of the first bloggers I met and none like her. Chatty is great. She is a teacher and I don't know how she does it. Teachers go through a lot. My friend Lee is a teacher and I really respect anyone who can do that. Chatty is wide open and a tell it like it is girl. You can learn a lot over there.....and her best quality. She is a dog person!
Terri at Cedar Key. I've met Terri so it makes her even more endearing to me. I love her life. I can relate to many sides of it. I find her vivacious and talented and very confident. Notice I like the confident folks? Terri is so attractive and full of life and she writes great posts....really they are.....
Oh my look at the time....I will have to continue this tomorrow morning won't I? Actually it will be Saturday morning. Sorry I have a field trip with Isabelle tomorrow.
Look forward to stories of me getting car sick and throwing up on the bus.
Part Two is coming!!!! You wouldn't want to miss what I have to say about Colleen, Naomi, Sage and you!
