Anyone who claims that a cat cannot give a dirty look either has never kept a cat or is singularly unobservant. ~Maurice Burton

I knew it was only a matter of time before Darius made the new porch his.
Toonces left his truck window down Friday night by accident. On his way to the barn early Saturday morning he said he saw Batman ears stretching slowly up over the steering wheel until Darius came to a complete paws on the steering wheel, looking out the window just like he could drive position. Darius was so pleased with his discovery. (ironically Toonces the driving cat from SNL is where Toonces got his nickname, so maybe Darius can drive?)
Darius could sleep in the house if he wanted but he prefers to be out in the summer and then sleep all morning in the house.
I rarely open this back patio door and Baby sat there for hours when I did. It was like she'd found another world.
I used to have a red hat...not for THE red hatters but just because I love hats. Now this one has the form of those colored hats women wore, or their bridesmaids wore, in the seventies when they got married....and all the bridesmaids would be in a different colored pastel? I went to one like that with my mom but I can easily remember them in the Sears Catalog....or JCP...one of them.
A terrible zoomed in too many times image but I wanted you to see D with a frog. Normally the back legs are sticking out. He can't hold them long, he acts like they taste horrible, yet they die quickly.
Darius couldn't take the heat once he got down to the dock to hang out with everyone. We've been in the upper 80s lately. Delane and Jackson came down Sunday afternoon to play with their kayaks and D came down to watch, and show off his frog hunting skills. Poor baby frogs.
...a shot of them clowning around with each other.
We were so fortunate to have mountain laurels all along the backside of the pond. It has made for a lovely view.
I told Jackson and Delane that it was a shame and disgrace to own two Labrador Retrievers- water dogs- and instead of down at the dock playing and swimming with us they were lying in the living room with the race on, belly up, feet in the air, white teeth shining...in the air conditioning!
