This past weekend we put furniture out on the new porch. This will eventually be moved to the dock once that room is built down at the pond and a bigger, fuller, softer set will be put in here. But for the time being it is just nice to have somewhere to sit and enjoy coffee in the mornings. And Darius likes it...actually Calista has been spending alot of time out on the little sofa herself.
I ordered my first decoration. A recycled colorful metal horse to go on the back wall.
Fighting a small bug, or at least not feeling my best, my energy seemed to reload once the UPS driver pulled in with the Wii. It arrived late yesterday and after dinner tore into it. I already love it.
I finally got the fitness Wii loaded right before bed and made the mistake of going ahead and entering all my stats. I was worn out by bed time. The board will keep track of my BMI (based on height x age x weight ratios.) and my fitness levels.
My center balance or posture was only off by 1/2 percent. You stand on the board naturally while it reads how you shift your weight. Mine was right at perfect so that at least was a good thing. And so my BMI, center balance and some balance testing gave me the starting Wii Fitness Age of 37. I'm 5 years to the good starting out. I just think this whole thing is incredible.
However on the Wii Sports I took the athletic test that rates your age after hitting baseballs, bowling and tennis and I was 76 last night and 71 this morning. OUCH! I suck at the tennis. My speed is pathetic. So on one hand I am centered, balanced, strong and have stamina but on the other side I am slow with bad reflexes...oh well.
Can't be good at everything. I wonder if wearing glasses would help my swing?
The Wii Thugs. Earl had no use for the thing and took off once it started up.
They never learn. Calista is a whole lot tougher than she looks.
She isn't one to back down from a confrontation...
