"Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy." ~ Spike Milligan
Yesterday I took the camera with me to photograph the Labs and some wild flowers growing along the road and creeks. I thought what a neat grouping put in one spot. Little orange vines, blue straw flowers and some yellow flower bloomed right together. A natural arrangement.
Earl and Eudora are hoping the neighbors' dog will come out and say "hello".
I am so excited about our trip to Glacier and I'm looking forward to the time alone with Toonces but I miss my babies. They have truly gone from Thugs to Lugs as Toonces pointed out. They spend so much time indoors in the air conditioning that it is sometimes hard to believe they are a sporting breed!
I wanted to make sure I had their photos up so that if I go online on our trip they would be easy to see.
Everywhere I look I seem to see bugs. There is a tiny orange mite in the top flower. Gross. I finally got to sleep in my own bed after 4 nights of sleeping on top of the guest bed. And I made it through the night without getting up to apply more ointment last night thank goodness. I still have itchy spots but it is bearable.
I wore long sleeves in this heat to work at My Friend's Closet yesterday so I wouldn't freak everyone out. I look like I have chicken pox now that the bites are scabbing over.
Time to pack and give the house a good cleaning before we head out. I may occasionally put something up as we travel...flying in to Missoula, Montana and driving up to Glacier...spending a few days there and driving back to Missoula to fly fish with our friend and guide, Jay Dixon.
Have a fantastic week and Labor day!
Straight from the camera, Earl and Eudora up from a creek...it is hard to make a black dog shot in bright light...and walking back the sun in the trees. It may sound crazy to some but I always feel like God is with me when I see things like this. It is a reminder that he is there, we just seem to not really want to see him anymore.
