Normality is a paved road: It’s comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it.
~ Vincent van Gogh
It is good to be willing to dance when the moments allow it. Time has a way of turning upside down for you in an instant. On December 30th Martin had a stroke from a dissected artery. It was a nightmare night that I relive often but will not write about. Things that are too fresh should be left to heal. But I miss the blog. It is depressing to see it sitting there empty, waiting for new information. So we won't talk about that night or the hospital stay or the first days at home that seem like a dream. Or that you've stepped into a stranger's life. I am thankful for the strong friendships and family ties. And grateful for such a strong husband. If anyone can recover 100% it will be him. Things are better every day. He's back at work an hour or so a day. He is driving some. He never lost a memory. We always tried to appreciate every day together, every day happy, every day healthy. We will even more now. And that's all it will spoken of here.
Things come from a new place now. It seems I spend my time wanting to create, maybe a yoga class or aroma blend. Perfumes or the perfect photo shoot. Winter turns you inward to reflect anyway, so it worked for us to be holed up healing and seemingly hidden.
Izzy above. Caleb and his beautiful girlfriend Emma here. The big snow.
My crazy love boys. Over 10 and still kicking it up in the snow.
