Coming off a trip to Florida and Disney with my mom, Seth and Ben.  It just went by too quickly.  The old saying is right that time goes so slowly when you are looking forward to something and too quickly when you are enjoying yourself. 

I hate lines, but standing in line to see Chewbacca was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

For some reason I am in love with A Bugs Life 4-D adventure in Animal Kingdom.  And I love Splash Mountain and I really enjoyed the new Dwarf Mine ride.

Getting pumped for Christmas!  I always get so excited waiting to give the kids their gifts that I can hardly stand it.  I have gotten the family DVD done, my year end photo book done and ordered, gifts bought and wrapped...mostly.  I love this time of year.  Today I am doing a bit more decorating with my mom and then going on a cookie baking marathon.  I love my tree, the music, the smells...but mostly I love how I have been far removed from everything else lately except for my own home and family.    October was so crazy and hectic.  I will never do that to myself or my husband again.  I missed so many little things and time goes too quickly for me to do that if I don't have to.  But in November I had to be down a while for some personal health reasons and that time shut in really made me enjoy minding my own business basically!  But there is work that has to be done and I enjoy that too, I just will never over extend myself like that again.    HAHA that has to be my resolution for 2013.  Say NO!  Put your own home and family first!!! 

 

Just wanted to post another favorite of mine from 2012. 

They look like such shifty people...or a band.  I love it.  Truly one of my favorite shots of the kids ever.   It was Seth's 7th birthday party and our aunt had gotten him and inspector outfit while I had gotten them 80's retro neon sunglasses as party favors.    This one has to go on the wall.

What a fun day. 

Favorites:

It is pretty sad that is always takes me till the end of the year mad dash to do my family video to get all my photos from the year organized and edited.  I still have vacation files untouched.   But I really did spend my Autumn doing photos for other people so I was extra behind this year.   I am also trying to sort out my very favorite photos from 2012 to put in a coffee table photo book for myself.   This one ranks right up there at the top...

 

Martin and I took Ben, our nephew, to see the Boston Red Sox play over Memorial Weekend.  It was also Ben's 9th birthday.  We had it on the scoreboard for him.  It was just one of the best trips.  Everything fell right into place AND the Red Sox won that night with a walk off home run.   Maybe the only game they won this year???  Horrible season but for Ben it was an awesome night.  Walking back to the hotel from Fenway the Boston Celtics game finished too, a championship win and Boston was on fire.   I think that memory will stay with Ben for a lifetime.  And for me and Uncle Martin as well.

And since Fenway was celebrating the 100 year anniversary I love that Ben's hat shows it off.  This one is going to be framed.

Halloween 2012

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  Right after Christmas I think.   It is just fun for me to dress up and play with the kids while we give out candy.  It also means a house full at my mom and dad's.  I can't help but love it.

We added a zombie this year.  I am calling him Fred.  Here is my clan for Halloween 2012.

Bronx.  2nd Halloween.  15 months.
