Coming off a trip to Florida and Disney with my mom, Seth and Ben.  It just went by too quickly.  The old saying is right that time goes so slowly when you are looking forward to something and too quickly when you are enjoying yourself. 

I hate lines, but standing in line to see Chewbacca was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

For some reason I am in love with A Bugs Life 4-D adventure in Animal Kingdom.  And I love Splash Mountain and I really enjoyed the new Dwarf Mine ride.

Family Mountain Vacation

Beautiful weather, beautiful leaves, beautiful people. 

And Halloween.  All good. Another one in the books.

It was a long snowy cold 3 months. 

Still wind snowing today.  The latest spring arrival I remember.  Two years ago we were too far into spring.   I always think of the commercial "it's not nice to fool mother nature." 

So since the last post there have been many snow days, many Bronx days, a trip to Miami, a trip to the Greenbrier, and my birthday last week. 

The new master bedroom is almost complete.  Waiting on just a few things in the bathroom and we'll be moving downstairs.  I really like it for a yoga studio in the meantime.  I love the big windows.  Tons of natural light.

Our big snow came around Valentine's Day.  We got about 18 inches.  I was starting to get a little freaked out when it finally stopped.  Nothing like realizing you could not get out of your home to the hospital easily.  Our road was snowed in completely for a day.  After that you had to have a truck to get out, with four wheel drive.  It was pretty.  It was nice the way the world shut down for everyone here.  Families all tucked in together.  But now I am so ready for my flowers and warm nights on my porch.

We went to Miami for Jackson's trip.  The kids take turns picking the destination of their choice.  He is a Heat fan so Miami it was.  I loved it.  South Beach, Ocean drive, and then the game.  We sat right behind the Heat bench so we were on ESPN a lot of the night.  My family and friends were sending us text pictures of us.  That was a neat experience.  And seeing Lebron James up close was pretty darn awesome.  Even for me.  Jackson was in heaven.

We picked him up in a limo to make it a trip of a lifetime. 

And I will end on a shot of Bronx on one of our warmer days.  Having a milk and cookie break before he was stung by a wasp.  A sting that sent him to the doctor's office days later because his young body couldn't fight off the venum.

Orlando was fantastic.  An excellent trip away with my sister, my niece, and Bronx.  I can't believe it has already come and gone.  I really do try to live in the moment, especially away with them like that.  I would sit in the hot tub in the evenings and look at Izzy and try to imagine myself always being able to pop back to that time together.  It just goes too fast. 

Dolpins, whales, sharks...sea lions, penguins, we saw it all.  And then the superheroes too when we switched gears and went from Seaworld to Universal.  Somedays we did both.  Bronx was a great baby and I hope this is a birthday Isabelle will always cherish.

Our hotel had a beautiful pool area.   Kiddie areas and also a nice elegant large pool.  It was nice to have all the action of the day and then head there to wind down before bed with the kids.  It was so calm there.

Friday was the dolphin experience and Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.  That was such a great day.  Bronx had a hard time but playing with those dolphins, getting them to do their tricks, and then Spiderman...it was just an incredible day.  I think the Spiderman ride may be my favorite ever.  Especially since everything makes me sick anymore.
